ELECTRIC VEHICLES

by Rafa Orrico

Reminiscent of the gritty, photo-copied cover of an 80’s fanzine, Spanish graphic designer Rafa Orrico’s work is colorful and raw. To create this print inspired by Electric Vehicles he used a charging plug, a contrast of colors linked to electricity, a wheel as the perfect representative element of a car, and gave the whole thing an industrial Charlie Chaplin Modern Times vibe. The result is a powerful composition conveying the strength of electrification.

All proceeds from donations received for this print will go to ReWiring America, a nonprofit focused on widespread electrification as a means of fighting climate change, creating jobs, and making our air cleaner. Rafa wanted to add an engineer to the print & so we decided to use our favorite renewable electricity advocate in the role, the founder and chief scientist at Rewiring America Saul Griffith. That’s Saul on the tire!
